Thankfully, Thanksgiving is over and the food fest that came along with it is also over.  In addition to the Thanksgiving meal and its countless leftovers, there was also football rivalry games that meant alcohol, chips and dips, wings, and all sorts of snacky foods.  Plus the desserts…all the desserts 😦

But, it’s over and tomorrow is a new day.  One new motivation is that the guy I’ve been seeing has recently joined a gym.  I hate to admit that my feelings of insecurity are playing into it, but I’m hoping that his motivation, drive, and discipline rub off a little.  Also, being around family for the holiday reminded me that I have to get healthy.  More than vanity, there are life and death and quality of life reasons for me to make healthier food choices and get more active.  Obesity, heart disease, and diabetes all run in the family.  I’m determined to break the cycle.
